Hi Alan

Just checked mine the original issued in 2006 says
Coastal Waters - Yes
Inland Waters - Yes
Power up to 10m - Yes
Power up to 24m or 80t - Yes

The Present one issued in 2016
No mention of size. Just Coastal and Inland Waters. Same as yours.

I think it is only endorsed 'up to 10m' if limited but I am away boating and cannot check my paperwork until Tuesday.

Hi Andy, can you clarify how the endorsement "over 10m" is displayed.
My certificate just shows
Coastal Yes
Inland Waters Yes.
Power Yes.

Hello Mark,

If your ICC is endorsed 'over 10m' eg your ICC was issued after training on a boat of over 10m then your qualifications will be good for your potential purchase in France, Belgium and the Netherlands - but not Germany.

If it was not shown as over 10m then you need to qualify for the ICC again on a boat (it doesn't need to be a barge!) of over 10m at any RYA school.

You do not need any French qualifications.

Best Wishes and Good Luck
Andy

As a new member -thanks for an impressive association.
I have an RYA I CC with CEVNI endorsement. I am a UK citizen and French legal resident.
I am looking to buy a barge large enough to live on and to travel the French canals.
I found a great barge at 21.69m .
Can anyone advise me as to the simplest way to upgrade my license for over 20m.
My French is not good enough to do this at a French school.
Mark
