may I enquire what paperwork they are requesting?

I have never had clients coming back to me with these issues registering previously french flagged vessels onto UK part 1 registry.

I agree with Simon and suggest you're better off sending it to a dutch notary than a UK solicitor. The Dutch are much more au fait with these things and so probably quicker, better and cheaper (spoken as an english lawyer, ret'd.).

charles, out of interest did they require the TRIWV or other ships documents to be translated? That might be enough to put me off switching it from Holland to the UK.

Basically it means take the document to a Notary, or solicitor get them to translate it and and get it rubber stamped by them as to its authenticity. Thats how I read it.

Hi, I have been struggling for nearly three years now to get Viod onto Part 1 of the British Register.....surveys measurement etc etc. Each time I think I'm there another mole pops its head up! This time they want a document translated dutch to English and Notarised...tried googling...anyone any suggestions? tx Charlie
