Thank you for your cautionary point, Derek. Since I intend to use this as my shore power there will be no other source of 230v alive at the same time. If the shore power trips and I resume to inverter power/ generator there still will not be a conflict as the single phase out of three has tripped. My MasterVolt Masterswitch allows only one source of electrical power at any given time.

Be sure to use only the same phase throughout the boat. If you use different phases you have a potential 415v risk.

Absolutely no reason not to Bob. Neutral to phase is 230V and phase to pahase 400V in Europe.

Is there any reason I cannot/should not wire a five pin three phase plug to a regular 16 amp 230v socket just using one of the live phases, the neutral and the earth?
