TOPIC: French reg boats -20m is there an equivalent to BSC

French reg boats -20m is there an equivalent to BSC 04 Nov 2018 10:00 #102241

There used to be the French D224 set of regulations. I posted FR and EN, Google Translate, here : www.luxe-motor-kei.co.uk/references.htm

Wonder if the document is still in force??

Hi Paul
perhaps this covers your query:

www.fluvialnet.com/reglementation/inscription-bateau
I interpret it as saying:

Pre June 1998 boats CIBP needed to get registration. CE mark post then. Unlimited time. Registration indicates compliance.
Fluvial net seems to indicate change of engine or boat name voids the CE mark or CIBP. They do not say how to get one again.

They do not refer to particular legislation/regulation though although I expect the regional registration centres may help if they are so inclined.

How authoritative do you need?

Cheers
Chris

Hello all

Is there a requirement for a french registered sub 20m boat to have any certification such as the UK BSC equivalent.
I have found the equipment list in the Knowledge base . But was wondering if there had to be any type of safety inspection required.
No guesswork please.
