TOPIC: Westinghouse gearbox?

Westinghouse gearbox? 10 Jun 2018 20:19 #99337

Might sound a bit silly but is it a marine box? wonder if it came from narrow gauge railway or some sort of industrial machine.

Daniel, did you get any information or find anything out? We have a Westinghouse gearbox, and as you have said there would appear to be nothing on the net.

Does anyone know more about westinghouse gearboxes?

I can buy a westinghouse WH.35.2500 2.6:1 gearbox, came of a 4cil Lister.
I can't find any info on it online, but might be searching wrong...

Seems like quite a hefty unit!
