At the risk of being off topic, I am really impressed by how well IMHO VNF has dealt with the succession of problems this year.

The lock, just above Migennes, is "ne marche plus" as the éclusier told us. Apparently the gates won't close. One to two days to repair, we were told. Moorings at the lock are full. Best to stay at the nice new quay in Gurgy if you are on the way down river.
