There are 3 barges French Bros stores in Windsor on an island directly opposite the Brocas. They are the ones which were used for passengers in the Olympic Park in 2012, I think. They've been in Windsor ever since. They took at least 2 of them to Runnymede in the last couple of weeks. I believe one has now been returned.

I'm in Windsor, just below Windsor Bridge.

No idea of the reason they were moved - they're not used as passenger vessels to my knowledge (I've never seen them move until now).

Hello David,

Have you any more details of dates when this happened? Were they trips or maintennce - all commercials go for survey once a year in the winter.

I would like to take this up further with EA.

Where are you observing from?

Thanks Andy.

I've noticed that French Bros have taken a few trip boats through the closure (Windsor to Runnymede). Which struck me as odd.

The closure doesn't impact me too much, just a bit of a pain.

Hello David,

Haven't had time to go and look but this is the specific response from EA yesterday.

Hello Andy

We are working closely with Thames Water and it is planned that works will complete in line with the winter programme. If there is a reduction in the time frame will communicate this by reissues of the investment programme.

Kind Regards

Cherie

There was a possibility that the work would be completed by Christmas if the weather was kind.

Best Wishes
Andy

I've just been told that the works to the bridge over Old Windsor Lock cut will no longer be taking place this winter.

Does anyone have any news on this? EA website is unchanged...

Ta muchly!
