Received from the Environment Agency today

Following the Met Office updated forecast and the Environment Agency’s decision to close all Thames offices and depots tomorrow, 2 March, we have agreed that all Waterways staff should remain at home and not carry out any operational activities until further notice. This includes Teddington Lock which will be closed from early tomorrow morning and the duty desk phone will be pushed through to a Waterways staff member. We wish to ensure all our staff are safe during this extreme weather and I will let you know as soon as we have taken the decision to reopen the locks and lock services. Please can you advise your members of our decision.

Many thanks
