I've found that ABN AMRO very helpful in setting up a Euro bank account. Their International Division in Schiphol deal with non-NL residents.

Look for a bank that offers a Maestro card as VISA and MasterCard is often rejected in NL.

Transfer wise have just launched a global card but I haven't had time to read the details yet.
I opened a Belgian account with ING without any issue.
Insurance.... As Pete says we all have favourites but GJW direct have a good reputation for costs and claims payments.

Dutch Barges are only built in the Netherlands. Anywhere else is something else.

The answer is easy - the one I use! All the insurance companies in the Suppliers Guide are used and recommended by different members for different reasons. A search for 'insurance' in the Forum will find many similar questions and praise for various companies. You could always start with MS-AMLIN who offer a discount to DBA members through this website page . They are not always cheapest so get a few quotes.

For a bank, I assume you mean in Belgium (though an account in any Euro country will serve your needs). Any of the big banks should open an account. ING is quite commonly used, I believe. Alternatively, you could use a Revolut card , which provides you with both GBP and EUR on the same debit card and instant, cheap exchange between currencies. I find little need for my Euro account since getting the card.
