TOPIC: Navman 3100 vhf

Navman 3100 vhf 05 Nov 2019 20:47 #111181

I was in a similar situation with the original VHF on my cruiser - can't remember the make now, not Navman I don't think.
Any I sourced a suitable replacement curly cable only to discover that the plugs were moulded-on. If yours are not and you can use a soldering iron ..

I ended up replacing it with a Standard Horizon GX2200 which incorporates an AIS receiver. The old one I flogged on ebay.

I see in the vhf post that Colin Stone has Navman 3100 vhf. I also have one with remote mic but the cables to both the mic on the set and on the remote have disintegrated. Navman company is no more. Does anyone know where new cables can be purchased.
