The link https://nos.nl/teletekst#721 goes directly to page 721. Then the onscreen [>] & [<] buttons (above the numberpad) scroll through the sub-pages.

I'll add a note to the KB. Thanks Tim.

So it appears that the Dutch are avid users of teletext and that where many people get their information on closures on the river. It seems to be the official channel for information on river closures and is quite up to date. If your TV does not support teletext you can get it on the internet at nos.nl/teletekst - the inland waters navigation pages are on page 721 and all the canals and rivers are all there. if you fast forward to page 16 you can see the Mass river closure status - closed from Belfeld to Sambeek lock for recreational boats. I think there is also an NOS teletext app available for your phone.

There should probably be a note on this in the Knowledge base guide to NL

You don't need a barge to join - a dream of boating in Europe will do'. See www.barges.org

The water level here on the Maas in North Limburg in NL is down to about 1 foot above the pre flood levels but the current is still strong. Commercial traffic between the Belgian border and Lith opened last night at 18:00 but the river is still closed to recreational traffic due to debris.

It is very difficult to get information on the current status. The best way seems to be to drive to the river and look over the bank at the water. You can ask the Harbour Master for his opinion with mixed results. The Rijkswaterstaat website has lots of water level reports but very few on the current and hardly any news updates. The best source I have found is the RWS Zuid NL twitter feed. One thing to note is that PC Navigo has been completely oblivious to the entire flood and still shows the whole river as open, so its not really to be trusted.

I never liked Twitter but it seems to have found its use.

Not the best, but try:
waterinfo.rws.nl/#!/kaart/Waterbeheer/

You need to zoom in to get more detail, and then drill down to get flowcharts etc.

What is the best source for current and forecast water levels on Dutch waterways?
