Hi Sam, Tragic as these events are and horrific to see the news coverage of how the fire took over everything in its path. The buildings still "remain" listed buildings even if ash and burnt steel.

Very sad indeed and I know one of the yard owners. Cannot see the yards coming back to life as theyve been itching to develop the eyott for a long time however not been able to due to listed nature of some buildings. It ishard to list ash and burnt steel girders :-(

It seems that there has been a devastating fire at Platts Eyott which would appear to have destroyed the historic main slipway building which will be well known to some members; also boats including Dunkirk Little Ship “Lady Gay.” I hope that no members’ boats have been involved.
