DBA Rallies

Each year DBA aims to hold a rally in the UK and one in Europe – usually France, Belgium or the Netherlands.

They are always great fun and a highlight of the boating year.

The aims of the rallies are to:

• Meet other DBA members to renew or make friendships at a range of planned events and meals
• Share information
• Visit other people’s boats to get ideas,
• Discover new places and waterways
• Promote DBA and cruising on the inland waterways
• And especially to HAVE FUN!!!

If you don’t have your own boat at the rally, you may be able to stay on someone else’s boat, or arrange your own local accommodation with help from the rally organisers.

Non-members are welcome as a guest of a member, but not normally with a boat due to limited mooring space. 

If you are considering buying, building or renovating a boat, a rally is a good opportunity to get ideas from others and by looking around people’s boats. 

The arrangements for each rally are different so look for details in the Blue Flag, the e-newsletter, Facebook or the Events page on the website.

It’s definitely worth planning your cruising so you can attend a rally soon.
