No mooring in Reims was created by Sharon Hammond
Canal Aisne a la Marne

A reminder from VNF that since last October 7 and running through June 30 of this year, mooring is prohibited at the old port of Reims and at the area formerly occupied by the Office of Tourism Halte Nautique next to the now demolished DeGaulle bridge.

There may be some mooring space up very close to the first of the three locks in Reims, going in the Marne direction, but there are already a number of boats moored there and it can't be counted on.  Mooring in this area should be done at Sillery, 12 km from Reims in the Marne direction.  To moor at Sillery, you need to download (or use on your computer) the Quipeo app and order and pay for your mooring on line in advance of arrival.  Once moored and locating the number of your electrical box, you can order electricity and water on the same app.  You will find the QR code and the passcode to get through the locked gates to the pontoons. You can go out the gates without a code but you can't get back in without the QR code or password - and I would tend to trust the pass code more!  The Office of Tourism is due to resume in person service at the Halte from April 12, but I think they are not supposed to allow you to pay them directly.

There is a continuous, paved bike path from Sillery to Reims along the canal - no car traffic!  There is also bus service daily except Sunday.  There is also a Intermarche, a bakery, a hair salon, a Friday AM market, and a few wine houses there.
