Chommage Stoppages Canals Garonne, Brienne & Montch - Montauban 2026

Just in for those navigating on the following South West waterways : The Canal Latéral à la Garonne, the Canal de Brienne, and the Canal de Montech à Montauban; please note the attached planned schedule for the 2026 maintenance shutdown works taking place from Monday, November 9, to Sunday, December 20, 2026. Please note that navigation on all these canals will be suspended during this period. Boat traffic remains possible within water filled canal sections (pounds) that do not require passing through a lock. Conversely, mooring is prohibited in sections scheduled for complete draining. The table attached summarizes the projected status of all canal sections affected by the maintenance shutdown.
