Following yesterdays post regarding the VNF DTSO review of the Midi & Garonne waterways I received the updated notice below confirming the now implemented navigation restrictions:Waterway users are hereby informed that navigation schedules for the 2026 high season have been modified as follows: From October 12 to November 1, 2026: For the Robine Canal (from PK 0 to Mandirac Lock) and the Canal du Midi (from PK 0 to Portiragnes Lock)—excluding Fonseranes Lock (PK 206.502): Lock operating hours: 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM; Unrestricted navigation hours: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM; No on-demand navigation; Special lockage service (form attached): A special service offered to professionals at any time upon request, subject to operational capacity; For passage requests from Tuesday to Friday: no later than 3:00 PM on the day before the scheduled passage. For passage requests from Saturday to Monday: no later than 3:00 PM on Friday. These measures are implemented pursuant to inter-prefectural order no. DDTM-SAFEB-2025-017 dated October 8, 2026.
